Teachers as readers guide
Resource from Reading Schools Ambassador Brian Conaghan to prompt staff reading and role modelling

In order to build a sustainable reading culture in your school, it’s important that everyone identifies as a reader. This doesn’t stop at class teachers – all staff across the school play a huge part in promoting reading for pleasure.
From wearing 'Ask me what I’m reading'(this will open in a new window) badges to classroom door signs, showing that we are all readers is an important message that our learners will greatly benefit from.
Please note, the recommendations listed in the poster are for learning professionals. If you would like book suggestions to share with learners, head to our website to explore our range of book lists on the Scottish Book Trust website(this will open in a new window).
